Que veut dire l’expression “le jour J”, d’où vient-elle et quand peut-on l’utiliser ?

French expression - D-Day

We use the expression “le jour J” to talk about an important date, a day when something important is supposed to happen.

It ‘s the translation of the expression “D-Day”, used by the Americans during the landing of the allies on the beaches of Normandy, the 6th of June 1944.
